What we do

KDCC is a family operated business based in Greater London. With a team in excess of 1000 dedicated staff, we deliver daily cleaning services to clients in every business sector throughout the UK.

We have the capability to provide a full range of support services including window cleaning, janitorial supply, washroom and specialised services as part of a simple, cost-effective, managed package, leaving you free to focus on running your business.

Our business has been founded on building and maintaining excellent long term relationships. We strive to achieve this through first-class customer service, bespoke service delivery and by listening to and caring for our clients – business is personal to us.

Our Staff

Selection & verification

Whilst we receive numerous applications for the cleaning role we advertise, we use a rigorous selection process to ensure we employ only the most suitable candidates to work at each school we clean.

We not only look for those with a great work ethic, but also those that can help us deliver the highest standards of cleaning (we believe KDC has some of the highest standards in the industry) as well as the ability to work well both alone and in a team, and finally the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and other key stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the sites we clean, every new team member is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and are not permitted on-site until this verification process is complete.

Representing your school

Expectations of our staff extend beyond day to day cleaning responsibilities. We also understand that when on-site we are also representing your school.

Our team wear a KDC uniform at all times and carry office issued photographic ID for easy identification by your staff. We ensure our team deliver the utmost levels of courtesy and professionalism when working at your school.

New starter training

We firmly believe that effective training is one of the keys to our success. Cleaning, in principle, is a simple task, but to work to the exceptionally high standards that both we and our clients expect can only be achieved with an
effective training program for new employees.

After an applicant is selected and employed by KDC they will begin their site-specific training at their new place of work, carried out by their KDC area manager. Initial training lasts on average between 6 and 10 hours and forms the foundation for regular, continued training and improvement.

Ongoing and refresher training

In addition to basic training and induction, KDC has created a bespoke training program that all staff are required to complete during their time with the company which is audited and signed off by an area manager.

Our training program covers basic day to day tasks such as sanitising and hoovering to more complex cleaning with specialist machinery. Every task that is carried out must always be completed in the way the method statement is written, making each task repeatable and effective.

With the emergence of Coronavirus, our ongoing training and development has never been more important, allowing us to quickly and efficiently train staff in the best working methods to deal with and mitigate the personal and wider risks posed by the virus, keeping staff, clients and their sites safe and operational at all times.

Throughout our approach to training, Health and Safety remain paramount and whilst working in such populated places it’s important that all of our staff have the knowledge and skills to work safely and in accordance with our method statements and Health and Safety policies and procedures.

All staff complete refresher training throughout the year during our site audits to make sure standards and cleaning techniques are maintained.

Quality management

Staff attendance and performance

We’re committed to investing in key technologies that help us deliver reliable service for our clients and staff management is no exception.

Every KDC team member is required to clock in and out using a company-wide attendance management system (uAttend).

Not only does this help us streamline our day to day operations and ensure we deliver consistent service, but also helps improve staff safety by automatically notifying should a team member fail to clock in.

Site auditing

Our custom-built auditing app allows our management team to quickly and easily capture real-time information and streamline its communication to clients, staff and our head office.

Every client is set up within the app and is linked to their specific site specification, allowing our managers to complete both regular and ad-hoc site audits with all of the required information available to them.

After each audit is completed, the report is synced with our centralised systems and a copy is automatically emailed to the client for review.

We believe in an open, transparent approach to our service and audit reports form just part of this ethos, giving clients instant access to audit information whilst leaving the management and delivery of the service to us.
